I was really psyched during the trip too cuz there were so many nice flowers to take picture of but of course it will look like a flower exhibition if i place it all here, and all will be only under one category (shallow DOF =\)
Anyways here are the photos and enjoy!

I took this above picture at Raffles Place, it's a tiny museum place, just a small room I would say, opposite the PriceWaterHouseCoopers building.
I think it was the outing when I first loaned the camera from the school that I took this picture.
I really like the colours and how "bustling" it looked.
Anyways this is to portray the deep depth of field where everything is focused with little or no blur in the background.

Camera Model: Canon EOS 400D
Aperture: f/3.2
ISO: 200
Focal Length: 60mm
Shutter speed: 1/80 sec
This orchid was taken in the orchid garden at the Botanic gardens.
As you can see, I really like colours and vibrancy =D
I took it with a 60mm macro lens and boy did I have fun taking pictures of small items
It was a hassle to take a picture of my boyfriend though cuz I had to step back really far just to take a full body shot of him as the macro lens is at a constant 60mm~ =\
Well as you can see, this picture clearly has a shallow depth of field as the focus is just on the center thingy of the flower whereas everything else is blurred off~

Camera Model: Canon EOS 400D
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 200
Focal Length: 60mm
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec
Ah I really love this flower! These are actually the buds growing by the side of the actual flower which looks like this:

Anyways~ I don't really like the composition for this picture of the whole flower or rather I don't know how to take a nice composition of the flower thus it's not in the assignment =|
I much prefer the smaller buds by the side, plus they look more interesting, which again showcases the shallow DOF

I had a hard time taking pictures of a frozen shot cuz the lighting was horrible
I tried to take the waterfall in the ginger garden but the sun just won't appear!
And I realised that the camera, when in manual mode with the flash up, will not allow me to adjust the shutter speed for anything more than 1/200 sec!!
Thus the lighting is VERY crucial....
I was about the give up until I was in the orchid garden where at the entrance there's this fountain with the sun shining directly at it thus I grab the opportunity to quickly snap this picture~ =D
Well at certain angles I have to agree that it looks kinda boring but I still like it la~

Camera Model: Canon EOS 400D
Aperture: f/22

Focal Length: 17mm
Shutter speed: 1/5 sec
This was taken at the ginger garden~
It was when there was still sun shining on it that I was able to take the picture without a tripod~
I was really banging on my luck on the stupid sun la cuz it was really cloudy that day so the sun came on and off many times and it's super frustrating especially when I needed the lighting most in my frozen shot image~
Anyways this was alright for me, I took quite a number of pictures of this and lingered rather long at this place cuz there were quite a number of tourists who wanted to take a picture with it too~
But I really wanted to take this one undisturbed so I went up pretty close to it and stayed there for some time *shrugs* I didn't think anyone minded except that after I was done, when I turned back, there were like half a dozen of photographers behind me snapping...

This is another motion blur image:

Shutter speed: 1/6 sec
I like how the water flows irregularly against the protruding rocks but nothing spectacular though.....
Cheers~
